Accounting Specialist Job Description

The Accounting Specialist plays a pivotal role in the organization by managing financial records and ensuring accurate and complete data. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Records transactions including purchases, expenses, sales, and inventory management.
  • Ensures timely payments for supplies, materials, rent, utilities, and other expenses.
  • Processes payments and reconciles accounts in QuickBooks.
  • Assists the Chief Financial Officer during payroll periods.
  • Generates financial reports as requested by management.
  • Liaises with external auditors to ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Performs other reasonable duties assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of Accountancy or BS Management major in Accountancy is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and correct accounting imbalances are essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required to navigate complex financial reports.
  • Knowledge of tax and financial reporting laws is necessary to ensure compliance.
  • Mathematical skills to double-check calculations and prevent errors are crucial.
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple tasks throughout the day is necessary.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure reports are submitted on time are required.
