Financial Reporting Specialist

As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for the financial reporting of 10-12 properties.

  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations and other supporting schedules.
  • Work with outside accounting firms and auditors to ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Collaborate with onsite property management staff to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Review general ledger and record monthly journal entries in a timely manner.
  • Analyze income statements and provide variance analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements throughout the organization.

You will work as a full-time employee in a growing business based in the United States. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and apply your existing knowledge.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and time management skills. They will also demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy, as well as the ability to meet strict deadlines.

A bachelor's degree is required, with a CPA preferred or someone on that path. The candidate should have 2-4 years of experience in financial reporting, including exposure to multiple entity ownership structures.

The ideal candidate will also have multifamily experience, but commercial experience will be considered. They should have experience with partnership accounting and GAAP.

The successful candidate will have strong Excel skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. They should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service focus and attention to detail.

This is a remote position, offering flexibility and autonomy. We are seeking a self-starter who takes initiative and is a problem solver. They should be able to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
