Bookkeeper and Accountant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial transactions, oversee accounts, and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days a week onsite. As a bookkeeper, you will maintain financial records, prepare financial reports, and handle tax preparation and compliance.

  • Maintain Financial Records: Record and manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare Financial Reports: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Tax Preparation: Be responsible for the preparation of tax returns and maintain tax records.
  • Spearhead Audits: Provide schedules, documentation, and reports for external audits, as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
