Job Description:

The Role

As a Healthcare Scheduling Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless scheduling and coordination of patient appointments.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Processing internal referrals and updating patient lists accordingly.
  • Scheduling allied health appointments, including physical therapy, kinesiology, chiropractic care, occupational therapy, and vision services.

Definitions:

  • Physical Therapy – PT
  • Kinesiology – KIN
  • Chiropractic Care – CC (or sometimes Clinical Counseling)
  • Occupational Therapy – OT
  • Vision – Eye care services, possibly including optometry or vision therapy

Additional Tasks:

  • Calling approved patients to book their treatments.
  • Managing patient approvals, denials, and follow-up lists.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in healthcare administration or patient coordination.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent phone and email communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage scheduling efficiently.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with healthcare software tools.
  • Experience handling insurance claims and billing.
