Real Estate Accounting Professional

 

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations for real estate properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Utilize AppFolio to manage property accounting, tenant ledgers, rent payments, owner statements, and property reports.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts using QuickBooks Online to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Process monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
  • Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, relevant laws, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with property managers and other team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Real Estate Accounting.
    • Extensive hands-on experience with AppFolio (required).
    • Strong QuickBooks Online skills with proven track record of accurate bookkeeping.
    • In-depth understanding of real estate financial workflows, including rent collection, owner payouts, and property expense tracking.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
