The IT Asset Management Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle. This role ensures accurate inventory tracking, compliance with licensing agreements, and optimization of asset usage to support business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT hardware, software, and related assets.
  • Track the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement, deployment, maintenance, to disposal.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams for purchasing new assets and renewing software licenses.
  • Perform regular audits and reconciliations of asset records with physical inventory.
  • Develop and maintain asset management policies, processes, and documentation.
  • Assist in budget planning for IT assets and provide cost optimization recommendations.
  • Collaborate with IT support teams to ensure timely repair, replacement, or upgrade of assets.
  • Manage asset tagging, labeling, and assignment to users or departments.
  • Generate regular reports on asset status, usage, and compliance for management review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience in IT asset management or IT operations is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in asset management tools, Microsoft Excel, and database systems.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes, software licensing, and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Can start ASAP.
