Human resources is a critical function in any organization. At the heart of this department lies the role of an HR Generalist.

About the Job

An HR Generalist is responsible for administering the daily functions of the Human Resource department. This includes handling employee inquiries, processing onboarding and terminations, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Routine Administrative Tasks: Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including onboarding, offboarding, and position changes; compensation, benefits, and leaves of absence.
  • Employee Support: Answer frequently asked questions from employees and managers relative to standard policies, processes, benefits, etc., referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate senior level HR team members.
  • File Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Audits: Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience as HR Generalist (US)
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
