Logistics Operations Strategist Role

This role is for a seasoned professional with expertise in Amazon logistics and supply chain management.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in managing operations and supply chains, preferably both. Additionally, they should have strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams effectively.

The Logistics Operations Strategist will be responsible for analyzing and developing end-to-end logistics strategies that ensure smooth and efficient operations across all supply chain functions.

They will work closely with the Head of Supply Chain to identify and implement improvements that enhance logistics performance across Amazon and Shopify channels.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Amazon/E-commerce Platform Oversight: Ensure the smooth transaction flow and customer satisfaction by managing Amazon and Shopify platforms, including order management systems and integration tools.
  • Supply Chain & Inventory: Collaborate with the Head of Supply Chain to strategize end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory control, demand planning, and fulfillment to ensure optimal stock levels and cost efficiency.
  • Logistics & Fulfillment Coordination: Understand relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and warehouse partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Process Optimization: Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, finance, and customer service teams to support business objectives and ensure seamless operational alignment.
  • Vendor & Supplier Liaison: Understand relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and external partners alongside the Supply Chain team to secure favorable terms and reliable service.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze operational data, KPIs, and performance metrics to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Agency Involvement: Manage Agencies to maintain well-maintained relationships and deliverables on time, reporting to management when necessary.

Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in Amazon operations or supply chain management, 5 years of leadership/ people management experience, proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Suite, Shopify experience, and experience with Helium10.

Nice to Have: Experience with Gorilla ROI and Scale Insights.
