At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Scheduler to join our team. A successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have at least 2 years of experience in scheduling within the U.S. Homecare industry.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating appointments, managing staff schedules, ensuring efficient patient and caregiver coverage, and maintaining accurate records in scheduling software. They must also communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to confirm appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage daily schedules for healthcare staff, including nurses, caregivers, and therapists.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and staff to confirm appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and respond promptly to last-minute changes or call-offs.
  • Maintain accurate records in scheduling software and update calendars in real time.
  • Collaborate with HR and operations teams to align staffing with patient needs.
  • Monitor compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and healthcare regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a homecare scheduling or coordination role.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems, terminology, and staffing models.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., ClearCare, Alaya Care, HomeTrak).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high volumes of scheduling requests.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in home care, hospice, or long-term care settings.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards.
