Debt Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and motivated remote debt recovery specialist to manage aged debt reports, clear receipts from payments, and ensure timely client payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Generate and review aged debt reports to identify overdue payments, ensuring prompt follow-up with clients.
  2. Clear receipts and match them with corresponding payments, maintaining accurate records.
  3. Engage with clients via phone and email regarding outstanding invoices, negotiating payment commitments when necessary.
  4. Perform credit checks on new clients and update credit limits accordingly, adhering to established protocols.
  5. Set up new clients in the system and maintain accurate records, ensuring seamless integration.
  6. Liaise with the finance team to resolve payment discrepancies, promoting efficient resolution.
  7. Monitor and report collection progress to senior management, providing regular updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in debt recovery or accounts receivable.
  • Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to handle phone and email conversations effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines, prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software, with knowledge of credit checks and debt collection processes.
