Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced real estate accounting professional with extensive knowledge of property management software and financial systems to fill this crucial role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions for real estate properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Utilize property management software to manage property accounting, tenant ledgers, rent payments, owner statements, and property reports.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts using financial software to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Process monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for senior leadership review.
  • Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth financial operations.
    • Proven experience in real estate accounting.
      • Extensive hands-on experience with property management software (required).
      • Strong skills in financial software with a proven track record of accurate bookkeeping.
      • In-depth understanding of real estate financial workflows, including rent collection, owner payouts, and property expense tracking.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
      • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
