Financial Services Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will play a vital role in managing financial records and daily transactions for our real estate business.

Role Description

As a Financial Services Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately recording and maintaining day-to-day financial transactions related to real estate operations, including property acquisitions, development costs, maintenance expenses, and rent collections.

You will also process vendor invoices, contractor payments, and tenant receivables. Additionally, you will maintain up-to-date ledgers for project accounts, perform bank reconciliations, and ensure clean records across multiple properties.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Management: Accurately record and maintain financial transactions related to real estate operations.
  • Accounts Management & Reconciliation: Process vendor invoices, contractor payments, and tenant receivables.
  • Real Estate Budgeting & Project Support: Track development budgets and assist in creating financial documentation for project tracking and reporting.
  • Reporting & Payroll: Prepare monthly financial reports, including property-level P&Ls and project cash flows.
  • Tax & Compliance Support: Assist with tax prep and ensure compliance with accounting standards and real estate-specific financial regulations.

  • Organized & Efficient: Excel at handling complex real estate documentation and keeping projects financially aligned.
  • Real Estate Knowledgeable: Understand the financial workflows of real estate development and property management.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Anticipate accounting challenges and help solve them before they escalate.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with QuickBooks, Excel, Xero, Appfolio, and Yardi.
