We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Assistant to support our payroll operations. The Payroll Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in processing payroll for employees accurately and on time.
- Maintain payroll records, including employee data, timesheets, and tax information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies.
- Process payroll deductions, benefits, and garnishments as required.
- Assist in preparing payroll reports for management and auditing purposes.
- Support the HR and finance departments with payroll-related tasks as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role is a plus.
- Knowledge of payroll software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Understanding of payroll regulations and labor laws.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
