Recruiter & HR Administrative Support
This dual-role position combines hands-on recruitment responsibilities with administrative support to the Head of Human Resources. The Recruiter is primarily responsible for attracting, sourcing, and onboarding talent across Client's entities in Australia. In addition, the role provides administrative assistance to support HR initiatives, and other vital tasks during peak periods.
The ideal candidate is proactive, people-focused, and confident in both communication and coordination. They must be capable of managing recruitment tasks independently, while also remaining flexible to support the broader HR team when needed. The role requires an ability to work across multiple teams and locations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
1. Recruitment
Manage end-to-end recruitment across multiple business units (e.g. cleaning, maintenance, admin).
Liaise with the Head of HR and/or managers to determine role requirements and create job ads.
Post advertisements across relevant channels (Seek, Indeed, internal boards, social media).
Screen resumes, shortlist candidates, and schedule interviews.
Conduct phone screenings and assist with interviews as required.
Coordinate pre-employment checks (right to work, police checks, reference checks, etc.).
Manage candidate communications to ensure a positive experience.
Maintain recruitment trackers and regularly update status with hiring managers.
Support onboarding processes in coordination with the HR team.
Ensure recruitment processes are compliant with Fair Work and internal hiring guidelines.
2. Administrative Support
Provide backup administrative support to the overall HR team during high-demand periods, such as payroll processing, follow-up communications, and basic document management.
Support team-wide communications and assist with coordination of meetings when required.
Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee or organisational information.
Assist in preparing and maintaining documentation related to audits, employee relations, and policy updates.
Support the tracking and monitoring of probation periods, training compliance, and employee milestones.
Uphold professionalism and discretion in all matters involving confidential HR data or interactions.
Provide occasional support for HR events, internal communications, and employee engagement initiatives.
Other administrative duties may be assigned.
