Summary:

A seasoned hospitality professional is sought to lead a team in recreation, entertainment, and sports management. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the operation, including staff supervision, activity planning, budgeting, and guest relations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Staff Supervision: Directly supervise and manage a team of recreation professionals, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and performing at their best.
  • Activity Planning and Budget Management: Plan and organize recreational activities, events, and programs, while managing associated expenses.
  • Guest Relations: Provide exceptional service to guests, responding to their requests, and ensuring their overall experience is enjoyable and memorable.
  • Sports Program Management: Oversee the operation of the sports center, including equipment maintenance, program development, and staff supervision.
  • Administrative Tasks: Prepare reports, manage departmental finances, and perform other administrative duties as required.
Techical Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Safety Procedures: Be knowledgeable about hotel safety procedures, first aid, and emergency protocols.
Commercial Responsibilities:
  • Revenue Initiatives: Develop and implement revenue-generating initiatives, capitalizing on opportunities from both internal and external business ventures.
Human Resources Responsibilities:
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and develop staff members, ensuring they meet departmental standards and procedures.
  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluate staff performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing constructive feedback.
  • Rostering and Scheduling: Oversee the creation and implementation of monthly staff schedules.
Relationships:
  • Guest Interaction: Interact with guests, ensuring their safety and satisfaction, while promoting excellent customer service.
  • Vendor Communication: Communicate with external vendors, arranging services and payment for events and activities.
Accountabilities:
  • Representing Values: Represent company values and culture at all times, delivering an exceptional guest experience and promoting a positive work environment.
Company Culture:
  • Culture Ambassador: Lead by example, embracing and cascading company culture, mission, and vision to all team members.
Confidentiality:
  • Data Security: Ensure confidentiality and secure storage of intellectual property, data bases, and sensitive information.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Leisure Management, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in hotel recreation, activities, or sports management.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, fluency in English, computer literacy, and good physical health.
