Job Title

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Instrument Operations Support Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our global instruments operations organization.

This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in data entry, keyboarding, and typing, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and process workflows related to customer warranty and returns, including Fax, Email, Esker, EDI, and CRM.
  • Assume ownership and responsibility for data accuracy of all instrument returns order information entered into Abbott's SAP ERP system.
  • Elevate workflow issues to leadership or subject matter experts for timely resolution.
  • Manage incoming requests from functional mailboxes, reviewing and responding to emails with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with master data, purchasing, finance, sales/marketing, distribution centers, and other relevant functions on allocations, returns/credits, and order issues.
  • Investigate and resolve escalated orders from all sales order processing channels (Esker, SAP, and CRM) and elevate to subject matter expert and team lead/supervisor if necessary.
  • Generate reports as needed, such as open orders, billing block, and error trending.
  • Continuously improve processes and identify efficiencies with team lead/supervisor and subject matter expert.
  • Execute assigned tasks and/or projects.
  • Maintain knowledge of Abbott systems, including SAP, Esker, Agile, Metro, LERN, and SharePoint, to provide accurate information and follow business guidelines.
  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP or ERP applications beneficial.
