Job Title: Financial Accountant

As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for handling various financial tasks. This role involves managing finance queries, daily receipting, monthly bank reconciliation and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage finance tickets in Freshdesk;
  • Daily cash handling, bank account administration and reconciliations;
  • Investment management and maturity notifications;
  • Financial reporting and review generation;
  • Cash flow forecasting and management;
  • Year-end financial checks and journal entries;
  • Budget preparation and planning;
  • Levy payments to owners;
  • Audit coordination and liaison with external auditors;
  • Onboarding and offboarding of new or lost business;
  • Preparation and review of BAS statements and Tax returns;
  • System updates and fee corrections;
  • Review of exception reports and manual task completion;
  • Loan management and coordination;
  • Communication with stakeholders;
  • Attending meetings with clients as required;
  • Additional revenue recovery from owners;
  • Payroll and superannuation processing;
  • Ad hoc bank deposit recalls and payment disputes.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in accounting or related field;
  • Minimum 4 years of accounting experience;
  • Budgeting expertise;
  • Understanding of financial statements (P/L, Balance sheet, Cash flow);
  • Experience reviewing financials and communicating results;
  • Account reconciliation skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge and experience with Income Tax and BAS is desirable;
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field;
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in accounting roles;
  • Knowledge of Budgeting principles;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills;
  • Previous experience with tax and BAS is highly beneficial.;
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite especially Excel;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Possess good time management skills and adaptability;
  • Familiarity with payroll systems;
  • Coordinate audit processes;
