Job Title: Building Information Modeling (BIM) Specialist

This role requires a skilled professional to utilize technical knowledge and experience in applying BIM technology for production of models, drawings, and other project deliverables. The specialist will lead a team in producing high-quality BIM models and drawings for various disciplines, ensuring compliance with project and company standards. They will also coordinate with BIM managers, discipline leads, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delegating workload to modelers from various disciplines
  • Coordinating clash detection and resolution activities
  • Providing oversight on project workflow and coordinating with BIM manager on any issues found
  • Supporting engineers with drawing standards and BIM software usage
  • Mentoring BIM modelers on queries and assisting with modeling when required
  • Ensuring the latest model is always up-to-date and correctly stored in the collaborative project management system
  • Performing quality assurance and quality control on technical drawings before handing over to the BIM manager for final checking
  • Setting up and developing new BIM model projects, maintaining workability, and efficiency
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture or equivalent courses/technical certification relating to BIM
  • Preferably 8 years of experience working with relevant BIM software on multidiscipline BIM projects
  • Job experience in design consulting firms is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Overseas experience is an advantage (working in other countries or project design outsourcing companies)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A systematic and methodological approach
  • Ability to quickly adapt to drawing standards
