Job Description

Black and White Engineering is a multi-award-winning engineering consultancy, with nearly 600 employees in teams based in various offices around the world. We have been providing a wide range of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering consultancy services since 2007.

Our engineering expertise reaches across all sectors of the construction industry, providing pragmatic and practical design solutions to ensure our projects are spatially and operationally efficient. Our design process fully considers the installation and maintenance practicalities on site.

We are looking for an experienced BIM Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive years of technical experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM), with a proven ability to implement BIM and CAD protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Works independently but refers upwards as necessary
  • Responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own and others' work
  • Monitors hours spent to assist meeting financial targets for the business
  • Sets and meets agreed deadlines
  • Allocates tasks and coordinates activities
  • Represents the company internally
  • May also be responsible for one or more of the following:
    • Drives development of BIM within the business
    • Responsible for predicting and planning future resources and contributing to setting up BIM aspects of new projects
    • Responsible for the design/delivery of internal BIM events, activities, processes, and/or projects which have a major impact on the management of the business
    • Responsible for the performance and development of others, providing guidance, training, motivational and directional feedback
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Member of an appropriate professional body
  • Minimum of 8 years technical experience specialising in Building Information Modelling (BIM). Ability in implementing BIM and CAD protocols and standards
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
