About the Position

As a senior accounting professional, you will oversee financial operations, guide junior colleagues, and develop procedures to ensure reliable financial processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and enhancing junior team members' output quality.
  • Leading accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice preparation, approval workflows, and reconciliation.
  • Managing onboarding and cleanup tasks for new clients.
  • Maintaining and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and process documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal standards.
  • Training and mentoring junior accountants, serving as a point of escalation.
  • Effectively managing multiple client relationships and meeting deadlines for monthly close.
  • Collaborating with pod leads to execute onboarding plans.
  • Communicating effectively via email and Slack using alias accounts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • In-depth understanding of US GAAP, full-cycle bookkeeping, and financial cleanup.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to processes.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and mentoring experience.
  • A track record of developing or refining SOPs and efficient workflows.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
