Senior Financial Clerk Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced senior financial clerk to manage and maintain accurate financial records, providing critical support to our organization's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update comprehensive financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and other relevant data.
  • Reconcile bank statements, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and identifying potential discrepancies.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments while maintaining proper documentation and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet organizational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, maintaining a strong control environment.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax filings and audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Generate reports and provide financial insights to support decision-making, helping drive business growth and success.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a senior financial clerk or accountant, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (desktop or online versions) and other financial software applications.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and other productivity tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
