This is a highly skilled role that requires an individual to be part of our team, focused on lending operations.

About the Role
  • The primary responsibility is to manage and execute lending contracts for private individuals and business customers.
  • The role involves performing various actions as per workplace instructions, capturing tasks in Service Now or via a shared mailbox, and executing checks/controls on signatures, evidence, dates for release of funds in lending contracts following specific rules.
  • Also involved are navigating ING tools to look for information, encoding results of needed checks, and monitoring sample controls ex-post following the specific rules.
  • Giving validation for release of funds after making all necessary checks is also a key responsibility.
  • Lifelong management tasks will be performed according to the specific rules (i.e., rate review, update data by encoding in the back-end system, etc.).
  • Contacting BE Business clients and/or ING colleagues/stakeholders via structured email-templates to give them information or request for information in English or Dutch is also required.
  • Analysis of received documents according to workplace instructions and updating the back-end systems accordingly is another crucial task.
  • Ensuring compliance with the rules and procedures prescribed by Risk and Compliance is essential.
  • Reactions to any issues, escalation to the lead and/or SPOC ING BE when checks are not OK, when in doubt or when there are issues are required.
  • CLT assistance will be provided in checking the quality of the translation of documents or correspondence from Dutch to English and vice versa.
  • Subject matter expert handling end-to-end processes and dealing with complex issues requiring communication or handling in Dutch is also a requirement.
  • Maintenance of close contact with the Belgium Central ILM team to manage the inflow, priorities, happy and unhappy flow, including workflow balancing is expected.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in English and Dutch
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • At least 1-2 years in-depth experience in loan operations (back office), particularly with general banking knowledge
  • Fast learner, self-starter and can work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Accuracy, attention to detail
  • Willingness to work on mid or night shifts, PH holidays and render overtime as needed
