Job Title

A Policy Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all organizational policies and procedures are current, systematically reviewed, and fully compliant with applicable standards and regulations.

This position serves as the centralized curator and coordinator of all organizational policies and procedures across all departments and functions, including Human Resources, Clinical Operations, Administrative Services, and programs governed by regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policies Curation & Compliance:
    • Curate and maintain an indexed, up-to-date master library of current policies and archived versions.
    • Track and enforce review cycles (e.g., annual, biennial) and coordinate timely updates and re-approvals.
    • Ensure that all policies reflect current practices and are compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and accrediting standards.
  • Policy Development & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Draft new policies and procedures based on leadership directives, operational goals, or changes in regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate stakeholder input and feedback during policy development.
  • Regulatory Reporting Oversight:
    • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of all required reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) for licensing, funding, and accreditation entities.
    • Coordinate report generation and submission to ensure timely completion.
  • Compliance Meetings Governance:
    • Schedule recurring compliance meetings, track attendance, document minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Policy Inquiry Response & Gap Resolution:
    • Respond to internal inquiries regarding existing policies and procedures.
    • Identify gaps in existing documentation and draft new policies or procedures when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Legal Studies, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or policy management within a healthcare or behavioral health organization.
  • Strong technical writing, policy drafting, and document control skills.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally across HR, operations, and clinical teams.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission, Arizona DHS, and applicable labor and healthcare regulations.
