
Insurance Policy Specialist

This role involves processing and managing commercial insurance policy applications, endorsements, renewals, certificates, and cancellations. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial property and casualty insurance processing and a strong understanding of insurance policies and procedures.
The position requires meticulous attention to detail and accuracy when handling various tasks such as data entry, document management, and compliance review. Effective communication skills are also essential for interacting with clients, agents, underwriters, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Policy Processing: Process new insurance policy applications, ensuring all required information and documentation are complete and accurate.
- Policy Endorsements, Renewals, Cancellations: Handle endorsements, renewals, and cancellations in a timely manner.
- Compliance: Review policy applications for compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Enter policy information into the insurance management system accurately and efficiently.
- Verify data for accuracy and completeness, making corrections as needed.
- Update and maintain client and policy information in the database.
- Assist clients with inquiries related to policy status, coverage details, and billing.
- Provide support to the customer service team by supplying necessary policy information.
- Communicate with clients, agents, underwriters, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Previous experience in commercial property and casualty insurance processing is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with insurance software such as Applied EPIC, AMS 360, EZ Lynx and CRM systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
