Job Title: Medical Document Retrieval Specialist
Job Description:This is a key role in the healthcare industry, responsible for retrieving medical documents accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Provider Identification & Research:
- Determine relevant healthcare providers associated with client treatment beyond main facilities.
- Locate billing providers using tools such as Chartswap, prior request history, and direct provider calls.
- Input identified providers into administrative applications.
- Review and correct incoming Release of Information (ROI) forms that are often incomplete or incorrect.
- Create accurate base forms before assembling final submission packets.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance checks for each ROI packet ensuring all required components are accurate and complete.
- Assign requests to appropriate records team members based on workload and utilization metrics.
- Identify and escalate provider-specific requirements to Client Success Managers.
- Resolve missing or conflicting information by liaising directly with law firm case managers.
- Experience: Prior experience requesting health records from providers on behalf of healthcare companies, law firms, or related organizations.
- Attention to Detail: Extreme accuracy is essential; errors can cause significant delays in retrieval.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and PDF editing/combining tools.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
