Job Description

The role of a Remote Patient Coordinator is to provide exceptional customer service, handle intake calls and coordinate appointments with healthcare professionals. As the first point of contact for patients seeking medical attention, you will be responsible for welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner, collecting initial information and efficiently providing care.

  • Communication: Handle patient phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely manner, providing empathetic support and concise information about their appointment or treatment plan.
  • Information Gathering: Obtain detailed client information, including personal details and a summary of symptoms or chief complaints, to ensure accurate assessment and effective treatment.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Assess the urgency of patients' needs and schedule same-day or urgent appointments accordingly, ensuring seamless coordination between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Provider Coordination: Determine and assign the appropriate healthcare provider for each case based on patients' symptoms, location and timing, promoting efficient care delivery.
  • Follow-Up: Send confirmation details and informative follow-ups to patients and healthcare providers to ensure open communication and successful outcomes.
