The Director of Investment Operations role supports day-to-day processing and transformation of our investment function.

This position requires a leader with strong operational background, focusing on efficiency and risk mitigation. A collaborative and transparent leader who creates and communicates vision, engaging individuals to work towards objectives.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage business relationships and oversee services with proven track record of managing global cross-functional relationships.
  • Responsible for escalating and resolving operational service issues promptly.
  • Ensure integrated work across teams and that produced work meets service level standards and exceeds quality standards.
  • Contribute to developing overall procedures and policies, ensuring they are executed as intended by subordinate teams through subordinate managers.
  • Develop the capability of the service by leveraging expertise in investment products, operational excellence practices, and transaction/customer lifecycle.
  • Support and deliver on key transformation strategies of the group, prioritizing strategic reviews of existing processes and submitting business cases for prioritization in the change agenda.
  • Establish credibility and build professional relationships with business partners and customers.
  • Ensure customer-centered outcomes, manage business relationships, and act as a business partner for Business Unit service recipients. Enable feedback channels to align expectations and priorities.
  • Periodically refresh service level standards across teams to align to business requirements and manage KPIs as defined within Service Level Agreements and Schedule of Services.
  • Manage and mitigate operational risk, ensuring timely escalation and effective resolution. Validate accuracy of operational risk heat maps and other risk assessments. Accountable for timely closure of audit points.
  • Deliver timely and effective KPI and KRI reporting, business dashboards, and other metrics as required.
  • Drive sharing of best practices, fostering collaboration and innovation across teams.
  • Execute strategic priorities and evolve the service delivery model toward a scalable and strategic global business shared service.
  • Develop capability and functional expertise through training/development, coaching/mentoring, strategic talent management, succession-planning, and supporting mobility.
  • Ensure adherence to MBPS Governance model and Operating Standards.
  • Participate in strategic business planning activities and help translate to business initiatives.
  • Perform people management responsibilities including hiring, compensation strategy, promotion, performance management, and capability development of direct reports and their subordinate teams.
