Financial Analyst Role Opportunity

About the Position

The Senior Management Accountant will report to an Australia-based manager and collaborate closely with senior management to deliver accurate financial reporting and valuable insights.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to prepare and analyze monthly management accounts
  • Ppresenting financial results at management meetings
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and BAS/IAS returns
  • Managing external auditor relations and audit queries
  • Partnering with Commercial Managers to prepare budgets and forecasts
  • Supporting Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) as needed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4+ years of experience in Australian accounting and tax, preferably in media or related sectors
  • A qualified accountant (CA/CPA preferred)
  • Relevant experience in diverse revenue streams such as memberships, events, and advertising
  • Sage Intacct experience is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Chargebee and HubSpot is an advantage
  • Highly autonomous and self-motivated
  • Process improvement-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
