Job Overview

The Microsoft Solution Assessment Consultant plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and high-quality assessment services. This position is key to helping organizations define a strategic roadmap for achieving their business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Presales, Kickoff, and Scoping: Understanding customers' business goals and technical requirements, articulating relevant benefits and outcomes through a solution assessment.
  • Discovery: Determining the optimal platform to achieve stated objectives, supporting deployment through complete discovery.
  • Analysis: Completing analysis of collected data, identifying key insights, and producing an executive summary assessment report.
  • Presentation: Presenting key insights and actionable recommendations in an appropriate summary form to relevant customer (CXO, Technical Lead, etc.) and Microsoft stakeholders (ATU, STU).
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Supporting seamless customer transition into post-assessment actions with relevant Microsoft or partner teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of practical experience in solution sales, technical sales, or consulting in Microsoft solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to communicate information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong comprehension of Cloud technologies, Microsoft 365, and Azure solutions and related subjects matter.
  • Assessment discovery platforms – practical experience assisting customers deploy, troubleshoot, and leverage stated platforms.
  • Experience in performing CAF and governance model workshops to uncover customer Cloud migration reasons and goals.
Additional Qualities
  • Experience working with Microsoft Solution Assessment team and a Microsoft and/or partner role (optional).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage timely delivery of multiple, complex projects concurrently.
  • A team player with a learning mindset - ability to learn fast and deliver assignments.
  • History of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, quickly digesting diverse subject matter.
