Job Role:

The Medical Case Coordinator serves as the central liaison between patients, attorneys, and healthcare providers in cases of auto-related personal injury incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for med-legal cases, including PI, workers' compensation, auto-accidents, and other legal referrals.
  • Communicates regularly with attorneys, law offices, and case managers to ensure timely updates on patient status, medical records, and reports.
  • Coordinates scheduling of medical appointments, follow-ups, and diagnostics as needed for legal cases.
  • Tracks and manages documentation, including medical reports, billing, liens, and other legal correspondence.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations and relevant legal documentation standards.
  • Maintains accurate and updated records in case management software or EMR systems.
  • Generates and sends narrative reports, deposition summaries, and lien documents promptly.
  • Follows up with physicians to ensure timely completion of med-legal reports.
  • Collaborates with billing and collections teams to ensure lien accuracy and payment follow-up.

Requirements:

  • Experience in medical case management, insurance, or legal support.
  • Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient data confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to work in US time zones (PST, EST, CST).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
