As a Medical File Reviewer, you will be responsible for preparing case files and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) assigned in the client portal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepares case files and DBQs assigned in the client portal.
  • Reviews medical records, creating a synopsis to answer medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • Assists medical providers during scheduled appointments by accessing, navigating, and preparing different apps on their computers prior to the appointment.
  • Conducts remote interviews with veterans via video or telephone conference platforms.
  • Transcribes medical histories based on the veteran's answers to the questions in the DBQ.
  • Documents physical examination findings in the appropriate section of the DBQs.
  • Completes all sections of the DBQ spreadsheets after each appointment.
  • Discusses assigned cases with medical providers to determine final diagnoses and approve medical opinions.
  • Transfers data from the DBQ spreadsheet to the client portal.
  • Submits DBQs through the client portal.
  • Responds to queries and addendum reports from clients' Quality Assurance teams.
  • Coordinates with medical providers and team members regarding daily scheduled appointments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills to review and synthesize complex medical information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with medical providers, veterans, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
  • Proficiency in using various software applications, including those used for remote interviews and data management.
