Job Title: Regional Volunteer Coordinator

  • Coordinate volunteer team roles, plan for local and international volunteer identification and placement with host country staff and Program Operations.
  • Strategize to offer international volunteer positions in equitable ways and support partner countries' volunteer engagement goals.
  • Coordinate all aspects of volunteer placement, international flight logistics, and volunteer preparation with volunteer management staff in various countries.
  • Support credentialing of volunteers by ensuring documentation is in order and requirements are met.
  • Assess volunteer evaluations, escalating priority issues/comments to appropriate staff.
  • Provide status updates and summary reports on volunteer placement and team composition.
  • Assist with training and support of regional volunteer management staff.
  • Develop resources, documents, and data collection and management systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, program management, project management, non-profit studies, international studies, communications, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in volunteer coordination, customer service, or project management preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in multi-cultural contexts.
  • Cultural competency and strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and volunteers.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiatives.
  • Strong English language skills, written and spoken.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency.
  • Travel internationally and domestically up to 10% of the year as required.
