Accounting Specialist - Financial Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our global financial processes.

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end AP workflows, supporting month-end close activities, and maintaining clean and reconciled ledgers in a fast-paced, multi-currency environment.

  • Manage vendor invoices in Tipalti, oversee approvals, and prepare global payment runs.
  • Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations; reconcile AP sub-ledger to general ledger.
  • Assist with accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations to support timely close.
  • Oversee PO and invoice matching in Zip; support supplier onboarding and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Monitor and resolve data sync issues across Tipalti, Zip, and NetSuite to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Prepare audit documentation and ensure compliance with internal payment and expense policies.
  • Remind teams to raise purchase requisitions to support proper PO lifecycle management.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, AP & general ledger, preferably in high-volume, global environments and multi-currency transactions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Desirable: Proficiency in NetSuite, Tipalti, and Zip (or similar tools like Expensify).
  • Desirable: Familiarity with Australian GST and multi-currency accounting.
