Job Title: Patient Service Coordinator

This role involves working with patients and their families to provide excellent customer service, answer queries and concerns, and ensure that patient needs are met.

A key aspect of this job is communication. Patients must feel heard and understood by representatives who actively listen to their concerns and respond promptly.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organized, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

In terms of skills and qualifications, a college degree or relevant experience in a medical setting is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work with confidential information, are essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
  • Provide support to patients with queries and concerns.
  • Collect outstanding balances from patients.
  • Collaborate with third-party entities, such as insurance companies, to resolve account-related issues.
  • Place outbound collection calls according to established procedures.
  • Support patients with billing queries and concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines when handling protected health information.
  • Be a team player and contribute to achieving departmental and company goals.
Qualifications And Requirements:
  • Preferably a college graduate or at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Degrees and courses related to the medical field are advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Basic mathematical calculations skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in email usage.
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
