
Senior Contract Administrator

This role focuses on managing contracts effectively to ensure timely project completion, minimizing risks, and maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive contract management plan, ensuring its successful deployment by the project team
- Maintain an up-to-date obligations register, facilitating seamless tracking of project progress
- Foster open communication with the project manager and team members to guarantee timely fulfillment of project commitments
- Educate the project team on the importance of meeting contractual obligations, recognizing opportunities and addressing potential issues promptly
- Regularly review and analyze daily communications exchanged at various levels, including client interactions, key subcontractor dealings, and internal consortium partnerships
- Ensure accurate and timely contractual reporting, submitting regular updates to relevant functions (project team, central contract management office)
- Prepare and propose contractual correspondence for the project, encompassing notices, advance warnings, instructions to subcontractors, etc.
- Respond to contractual correspondence, including responses to clients, partners, and subcontractors' letters
- Promote effective risk management, anticipating potential claims and developing defensive strategies in collaboration with the project manager and team
- Closely monitor the implementation of defensive strategies, ensuring desired outcomes are achieved
- Identify and explore contractual opportunities with the project team, implementing measures to capitalize on them
- Facilitate amicable settlements with all parties involved, resolving disputes efficiently
- Analyze project strengths and weaknesses, proposing resolution strategies with the project manager
- Maintain constructive communication among disputing parties, participating in negotiation meetings
- Engage in alternative dispute resolution procedures when disputes cannot be resolved amicably
- Monitor pre-requisites for contract closure, ensuring timely fulfillment of obligations related to handover and final completion certificates
- Track and follow up on the clearance of remaining defects
- Ensure that all company liabilities on the project are cleared and unconditional final completion certificates are obtained
To succeed in this position, you will require strong organizational and communication skills, as well as expertise in contract management, risk assessment, and dispute resolution.
