Patient Financial Outreach Representative
Description of the Job:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented professional to play a critical part in ensuring patients are informed about their financial responsibilities prior to appointments. This role involves accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of accountability, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
This position requires proactive outreach to patients to review co-pays, balances, and payment options. Clear explanations of billing statements and assistance with setting up payment plans when needed are also key responsibilities. Accurate documentation of all patient interactions, financial discussions, and related information in the EHR system is crucial to maintain a clear and consistent record.
This role also involves working closely with intake, clinical, and billing teams to ensure accurate information flow. Escalating complex patient or insurance issues for resolution is also a key aspect of this job.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively reach out to patients to review co-pays, balances, and payment options.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or healthcare accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and time management.
- Ability to manage sensitive patient information with integrity (HIPAA compliance).
- Comfortable using billing software, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Reliable attendance and adherence to scheduled work hours.
