Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain databases to ensure high performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with the Phoenix Parallel team to implement database setups for development, user acceptance test, and production environments.
  • Participate in database analysis and design tasks to meet operational standards and performance levels.
  • Optimize database queries and procedures for improved throughput and recoverability.
  • Monitor and manage multiple SQL server instances on Windows boxes.
  • Resolve production-related issues and clarify details with relevant teams.
  • Interact with teams to update production-related documents.
  • Monitor data loading jobs across IQVIA systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy and timeliness through input from internal and external sources.
  • Identify supplier and database exceptions and resolve data issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Windows applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Basic SQL skills is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to process and understand large data sets.
  • Experience working in a mainframe environment is a plus.
