Cost Analysis Specialist: Role Summary

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Cost Analysis Specialist to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for analyzing product and service cost structures to identify cost variances.

You will conduct root cause analysis on material, labor, overhead, and other cost deviations. Additionally, you will partner with cross-functional teams to investigate drivers of cost changes, support standard cost updates, and collaborate with finance, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure cost accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze product and service cost structures to identify cost variances.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on material, labor, overhead, and other cost deviations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate drivers of cost changes.
  • Support standard cost updates and cost roll processes.
  • Collaborate with finance, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure cost accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in cost analysis, financial planning, or a related finance role.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and variance analysis.
  • Proficient in Excel and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
