Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Quality Assurance Lead is to oversee and execute the overall testing strategy for a project.

This involves defining the appropriate project Test Strategy and Test Plan, ensuring testability of the product through review of business user and product requirements, as well as application design.

The Quality Assurance Lead tracks and reports testing activities, including testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status reports, performance baselines, and others.

They are also responsible for ensuring content and structure of all testing documents are documented and maintained.

Additionally, the Quality Assurance Lead issues SQA Certificate to signify or prove that the application is in accordance to set exit criteria.

Furthermore, they perform Test Strategy and Test Cases Review, handle and manage SQA deliverable and repositories, provide an accurate status report to the project manager, participate in SQA Task Estimation and Risk Analysis on Technical/Project Proposals, review the quality of team deliverables, ensure team tasks are completed on time, formulate and manage initiatives to increase the skills, quality & efficiency of the team, and participate in process standardization and/or improvement on SQA related tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education – At least graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or any related course.
  • Related Work Experience – Experience as a Quality Assurance Lead/Senior QA Lead/POC with Manual and Automation Experience.
  • Experience in SDLC in Agile specific to Scrum Framework.
  • Extensive experience in Test Design, Test Cases Creation and Analysis.
  • Extensive experience in Manual (black box, white box, etc.) and Automated testing (Selenium Web driver, Test Complete, or desired tools) is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in defect reporting and monitoring.
  • Experience in handling a QA team/s.
