Job Overview

This role focuses on performing manual and automated testing to ensure the quality of software applications.

As a Software Tester, you will work closely with a scrum team to refine stories and identify effective test strategies.

You will create comprehensive test plans that can be easily executed by yourself or others, and design and implement automated tests to maximize regression coverage.

Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint ceremonies, as well as review and provide detailed feedback on test plans created by other team members.

Your expertise in functional testing, test case management, and triage failures will be essential in driving product quality forward.

With a strong background in automation testing using Selenium, you will have the opportunity to write and maintain test scripts, execute Agile and Continuous Delivery best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional virtual teams.


Responsibilities
  • Work with a scrum team to refine stories and identify effective test strategies
  • Create comprehensive test plans that can be easily executed by yourself or others
  • Design and implement automated tests to maximize regression coverage
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint ceremonies
  • Review and provide detailed feedback on test plans created by other team members

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Functional testing experience: 3-5 years in QA and 5-8 years in test lead or senior roles
  • Hands-on testing expertise with knowledge of functional and cross-functional testing
  • Experience in testing web applications with knowledge of cross-browser and user-interface testing techniques
  • Demonstrate expertise in exploratory testing beyond working to test plans
  • Test case management: creating, executing, and managing test cases with or without business requirements/design documents
  • Ability to triage failures, identify root cause, and define corrective actions
  • Strong skills in automation testing using Selenium, including writing and maintaining test scripts
  • Experience in executing Agile and Continuous Delivery best practices
  • Experience working in cross-functional virtual teams; understanding of full life cycle development from requirements gathering to delivery
