Transportation Operations Expert

The key objective of this position is to ensure efficient transportation operations across various distribution centers (DCs). This involves determining DC support for new or transitioning stores, managing drop sequences, and meeting key performance indicators such as on-time delivery and call time compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the creation, updating, and uploading of master route plans in SAP software.
  • Assess routes for traffic and road developments and adjust plans accordingly for events.
  • Manage route planning for cold and dry deliveries, including maintaining and updating store sequences.
  • Update transportation standard operating procedures, coordinate with load planners across sites, and enable SAP functionality by handling system change requests and leading related projects.
  • Drive system enhancements, implement automation tools, and standardize SAP-based reports.
  • Lead key initiatives in network planning and load optimization.
  • Manage trucker performance, expansion, and re-fleeting programs.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving trucker projects and business expansion programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Management or Engineering courses, preferably Industrial Engineering.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in transportation management, both inbound and outbound route planning.
  • Experience in managing third-party trucking providers.
  • Experience in end-to-end supply chain logistics operations.
  • Result-oriented and highly collaborative individual.
  • Willingness to work on field assignments.
