About the JobThis is a remote position. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to manage our day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
Responsibilities- Reconcile accounts, process invoices, and manage expenses in Xero.
- Capture, code, and file supplier receipts and invoices using Dext.
- Process and track accounts payable and receivable; prepare supplier payments and chase incoming payments as needed.
- Collaborate with the director to support accurate job costing: allocate materials, labour, and overhead to relevant projects.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
- Prepare monthly management reports: P&L, cash-flow statements, project cost summaries.
- Assist with Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation and liaise with external accountants for GST and tax matters.
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping using Xero.
- Proficiency with Dext or similar receipt-capturing tools.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping workflows: invoicing, reconciliation, tracking expenses, and job costing.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail in both financial and admin tasks.
