Financial Operations Coordinator Job Description

This role involves hands-on finance and administrative responsibilities that require a well-rounded accounting professional. The ideal candidate will manage the full spectrum of bookkeeping and financial operations, including reconciliations, supplier invoices, account maintenance, and compliance with financial regulations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconciliation - General reconciliation of books and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Account Maintenance - Maintain and update supplier invoices, ensuring they match statements and are correct in Xero.
  • Discrepancy Identification - Perform regular account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and rectify errors promptly.
  • Supplier Follow-up - Follow up with suppliers for outstanding accounts and ensure timely payment.
  • Reporting - Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
  • Process Improvement - Identify areas for process improvement and implement streamlined procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Clerical Support - Provide support for other clerical business functions as needed.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field.
  • Qualifications - Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Diploma or higher) preferred.
  • Experience - Minimum of 3+ years' bookkeeping experience.
  • Language Skills - Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Software Proficiency - Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
  • Attention to Detail - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
  • Organizational Skills - Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical Abilities - Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
