About this role:

The successful candidate will be a pivotal leadership figure responsible for overseeing and directing the entire sales function within freight forwarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive business growth and revenue across all services.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Sales Managers, providing strategic guidance and fostering a high-performance sales culture.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline and team performance, ensuring robust reporting and forecasting.
  • Drive market development by identifying new business opportunities and monitoring competitor activity and market trends.
  • Act as a key escalation point for complex client issues and maintain strong relationships with major clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and the development of integrated solutions.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in freight forwarding, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership or management role.
  • Extensive progressive experience in freight forwarding sales, with a significant portion of that time in a senior leadership or management role.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing sales strategies that drive significant revenue growth and market share.
  • Deep knowledge of international logistics, INCOTERMS, customs procedures, and trade regulations across the Southeast Asian market.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic presentation skills.
