Job Title: Director of Sales Strategy and Operations

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced sales leader to oversee the entire field sales function across countries. The successful candidate will develop and execute a cohesive sales strategy to drive new business acquisition and revenue growth across freight forwarding services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize country sales budgets and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business targets.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor Field Sales Managers across different countries, providing strategic guidance and fostering high-performance sales cultures.
  • Monitor sales pipelines and team performance, ensuring robust reporting and effective CRM tool usage to track progress against KPIs.
  • Identify new business opportunities, monitor competitor activity, and provide strategic input on pricing and service offerings.
  • Serve as a key escalation point for complex client issues and maintain strong relationships with major clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of experience in freight forwarding, with at least 4 years in senior leadership or management roles overseeing multi-team sales functions.
  • Extensive progressive experience in freight forwarding sales, with significant time spent in senior leadership or management roles overseeing multi-country or multi-team sales functions.
  • A proven track record of successfully developing and implementing sales strategies that drive significant revenue growth and market share.
  • Detailed knowledge of international logistics, INCOTERMS, customs procedures, and trade regulations across Southeast Asian markets.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop diverse sales forces.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for team meetings, client visits, and industry events.
