Job Overview

  • We are seeking a Credit Risk Officer to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the risk of our Accounts Receivable in all Global Business Service locations, including country risk, account risk via credit lines and risk classifications as well as bad debt losses and the monitoring of bankrupt customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports driving overall risk management principles throughout all portfolios
  • Identify potential risk, issues that need escalation and escalates them promptly
  • Assist in managing Pearson's bad debt provision entails report generation and ensuring its accuracy and adherence to the guidelines
  • Ensure on-time and accurate reporting, documentation, filling and storage, and submission of all relevant reports
  • Analyze macroeconomics, economic activity, and the creditworthiness of customers
  • Prepare and submit credit assessment report to the approver
  • Review Credit limits and internal rating of existing customers

Requirements

  • At least 2 years' experience in Finance, preferably directly in the Order-to-Cash function and specifically in credit risk management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority
  • Efficient judgement and informed decision-making skills
