Credit Portfolio Strategist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Credit Portfolio Manager to oversee the effective management of our credit portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing strong credit risk management practices, evaluating loan proposals, and ensuring compliance with bank policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive credit strategies for the Credit Support Unit, covering accounts from Branch Lending Units and Branches.
  • Supervise and review analysis and evaluation of loan proposals from Lending Units using various credit tools/information/documents.
  • Guarantee quality and timely completion of account renewals, evaluation of prospective borrowers, and various credit requests and reports.
  • Assess credit risk ratings and classifications, demonstrating strict compliance to documentation and bank policies.
  • Perform effective portfolio management, recognizing potential issues that require immediate attention or escalation.
  • Coordinate with Human Resource partners to ensure adequate talent is available and honed through well-thought-out career development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with the bank's Business Continuity Program.
  • Handle audit-related exercises in coordination with other business units (IBS, Credit Risk, Compliance).
  • Partner with Credit Administration Department, Credit Control and Documentation Division, Credit Investigation and Appraisal Division, LEGAL, to ensure that proposals have appropriate approvals and loan documentation process is in order.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of any Business-related courses, preferably Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
  • At least 5 years working experience in credit with focus on commercial and corporate loans.
  • People Manager experience.
  • Pro-active approach to problem-solving and ability to meet tight deadlines.
