Medical Case Manager Role

This role is responsible for coordinating medical cases, communicating with attorneys and medical providers, and managing documentation to support legal-related referrals and patient care.

The ideal candidate will have experience in medical case management, insurance, or legal support, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be proficient in English communication and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for medical cases, including personal injury (PI), workers' compensation, auto-accident, and other legal-related referrals.
  • Communicate regularly with attorneys, law offices, and case managers regarding patient status, medical records, and reports to ensure timely updates.
  • Coordinate scheduling of medical appointments, follow-ups, and diagnostics as needed for legal cases.
  • Track and manage documentation, including medical reports, billing, liens, and other legal correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate and updated records in case management software or EMR systems.
  • Generate and send narrative reports, deposition summaries, and lien documents promptly.
  • Follow up with physicians to ensure timely completion of med-legal reports.
  • Work closely with billing and collections teams to ensure lien accuracy and payment follow-up.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience in medical case management, insurance, or legal support.
  • Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient data confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to work in US time zones (PST, EST, CST).
