- Identify and establish market linkages and partnerships with potential buyers, distributors, and retailers.
- Organize promotional events, trade shows, and exhibitions to showcase products and expand market reach.
- Provide expert guidance on the development of value-added marine products, ensuring they meet market demands and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and cooperatives to identify and create innovative products that can diversify and enhance the product portfolio.
- Conduct market research to understand consumer preferences and trends in the marine product sector.
- Guide cooperatives through the process of obtaining relevant quality certifications for their products, ensuring all products meet national and international quality and safety standards.
- Monitor the progress of product development and marketing activities, ensuring they align with project goals and timelines.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Project Manager, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Aquaculture, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aqua-business, marketing, or related fields, with a focus on product development and market expansion.
- Proven track record in obtaining quality certifications for products and developing successful marketing strategies.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to identify market trends and consumer preferences.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in Tagalog and English.
Reporting: The Aqua-Business/Marketing Specialist will report directly to the Project Manager and work closely with the project team and cooperatives to ensure the successful development and marketing of marine products.
