About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Head to lead the talent acquisition function of a start-up manning office. This is a key leadership role responsible for building the recruitment team, developing hiring strategies, and ensuring the timely deployment of qualified seafarers and shore-based staff.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement recruitment strategies to meet vessel and shore-based staffing requirements.
Lead, mentor, and develop the recruitment team to deliver results.
Establish and maintain relationships with maritime training centers, schools, and industry networks.
Oversee sourcing, screening, and selection of qualified officers, crew, and support staff.
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006) and other relevant regulations.
Work closely with operations and crewing managers to forecast manpower needs.
Track recruitment KPIs and prepare regular reports for management.
Build a strong employer brand within the maritime community.
Qualifications
Proven experience in recruitment management within a manning agency, shipping, or crewing company.
Strong knowledge of maritime recruitment processes, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
Leadership experience with the ability to build and lead a team.
Strong network within the maritime industry.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
